How Shilajit can Benefit Anaemics
Anaemia is a blood condition where there is either not enough blood, or the blood does not have enough iron in it. Iron in the blood is very important because it carries oxygen around the body, which keeps us alive.
Essentially, anaemia is caused by a lack of oxygen. Red blood cells carry oxygen around the body through a protein in them called hemoglobin. Either a lack of hemoglobin or a lack of blood can cause anaemia.
If you have anaemia you may feel tired, have bags under your eyes, lightheadedness, pale skin, or headaches.
Fulvic acid may gradually increase energy levels of those with anaemia. This is due to fulvic acid helping transport oxygen and electrons around the body.
One of the first known uses of fulvic acid as a supplement was in shilajit. Shilajit is a mineral deposit formed where sediment of soil and decaying flora was deposited for thousands of years. It is formed much like coal or oil, but is much better for you. Shilajit is incredibly high in fulvic and humic acid, making it a strong supplement.
Shilajit’s direct translation from Sanskrit is ‘conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness.’ This sounds like a pretty hefty title for some sediment, but it has that name for a reason.
A study done in 2011 done on rats showed an increase of hemoglobin levels in rats that took 500 mg of shilajit daily for 10 days.
Most of the time anaemics are given the choice of plant or animal based iron supplements, high iron foods, or intramuscular iron injections to help remedy the anaemia. But sometimes these don’t work.
Shilajit, and subsequently fulvic acid, can be incredibly beneficial to those suffering from anaemia, it is a natural source that can be easily used by the body. It is beneficial not just for anaemia but for many other conditions as well.
The ‘conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness’ would be a mighty match for anaemia.
